The Luxembourg Ministry of the Economy has announced that it is offering, for the second consecutive year, paid internships for students in its economic development offices around the world.

The Ministry of the Economy has a network of eight Luxembourg Trade and Investment Offices (LTIO) which support Luxembourg companies wishing to develop their activities abroad and promote the Grand Duchy, namely its economy, across the globe. LTIOs are currently established in the United States, South Korea, Japan, China, Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan. The Luxembourg embassies also support the Ministry of the Economy in its efforts to promote the economy.

Luxembourgish students who have obtained their Bachelor or Master degree are eligible to apply for a three-month paid internship in one of the eight offices, which are located in New York, San Francisco, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi and Taipei, as well as at the New Delhi Embassy.

The aim of this internship programme is for trainees to become familiar with the daily work of LTIOs in connection with the country's economic promotion strategy. These internships also provide an opportunity for young people to discover an international and multicultural work environment.

Interested young people should apply before Friday 15 November 2019 by sending their motivation letter to Sarah Haunert (tel.: 247-84109 or e-mail: sarah.haunert@eco.etat.lu) at the Ministry of the Economy - Directorate General for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (19-21, Royal Boulevard, L-2449 Luxembourg). Applicants should indicate their top three choices of LTIO, in order of preference.
