Luxair has announced that it expects operational disruptions on Thursday 11 December 2025 due to planned industrial action in Portugal.

A nationwide general strike affecting several sectors, including aviation and public transport, is scheduled to take place in Portugal on Thursday. As a result, Luxair expects operational disruptions for flights to and from the country. The airline assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and taking steps to minimise disruption where possible.

The Luxair flights on the Luxembourg-Porto and Luxembourg-Lisbon routes on Thursday are currently expected to operate, but delays are expected. Passengers departing from Porto and Lisbon to Luxembourg may also face disruptions in local public transport and are advised to allow extra time to reach the airport.

Luxair also recommended that passengers arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure and to check their flight status in advance. Luxair will communicate any changes directly to affected passengers through the contact details provided in their booking.

The airline apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked passengers for their understanding.
