On Sunday 9 March 2025, Luxair announced disruptions to its flights due to a 24-hour strike at airports in Germany planned for Monday 10 March 2025.
Luxair said in an initial statement that it was "closely monitoring" the situation and would contact the concerned passengers. The airline confirmed on Sunday evening that its flights to and from Berlin had been cancelled. Flights to and from Munich were still scheduled to operate, but cancellations remained possible. Flights to and from Hamburg were expected to go ahead as planned but, in a second statement, Luxair confirmed that these had been cancelled as well, due to the "evolving situation" at Hamburg Airport.
Monday's flight from Hamburg to Luxembourg was also cancelled. The Luxembourg-Hamburg flight was expected to go ahead as planned but remained subject to change. All Luxair flights to/from Berlin were cancelled for Monday. As for Munich, Luxair said it continued to closely monitor the situation at the airport. Monday's flight from Luxembourg to Munich was still scheduled to operate, although the return flight from Munich to Luxembourg was cancelled. Concerned passengers will receive a rebooking option.
Luxair assured it was "actively working to minimise the impact of these disruptions and will continue to proactively contact all affected passengers with updated information". The airline apologised for the inconvenience "caused by these unforeseen circumstances".
