The Luxair Group has announced that, at the Board of Directors meeting on 24 April 2020, Adrien Ney announced his intention to assert his retirement rights with effect from 1 June 2020: Adrien Ney will be 63 years old in May.

LuxairGroup is aware that the post-crisis situation will clearly be different from that before the crisis, and that important decisions which will impact the company in the medium and long term will have to be taken. Following the retirement of Adrien Ney, it seems appropriate to LuxairGroup that these decisions be taken together with a new Managing Director.

The board thanked Adrien Ney for 15 years of professional engagement in the service of LuxairGroup, and wished him a pleasant and peaceful retirement.

Born in 1957 and a native from Luxembourg, Adrien Ney worked in the banking sector with Dresdner Bank in Luxembourg as a Trader in Money Markets and Foreign Exchange. He then moved to Paris and New-York City with the French Bank Société Générale, before moving to the German Commerzbank International S.A. as Treasurer, Accounting and Tax Services, Private & Corporate Banking, and finally Managing Director.

Mr Ney joined LuxairGroup in June 2005, and since this date he has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of LuxairGroup.
