On Friday 27 March 2020, François Bausch, Luxembourg's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, along with Paulette Lenert, Minister of Health, visited the Cargocentre in Luxembourg as part of the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic.
The Cargocentre is one of the leading air freight platforms in Europe, enabling the rapid distribution of medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
During the visit to the Cargocenter, Ministers Bausch and Lenert received explanations on the operation of Cargocenter and were able to inspect recent deliveries in the context of the pandemic. As part of the visit, the two ministers were personally grateful to Cargocenter employees for their work and contribution to the fight against COVID-19. They underlined the exemplary and necessary cooperation between all actors such as the Army, Cargolux, CFL, Luxair Group, Luxport, Luxairport and the WSA.
