German logistics provider Dachser has announced that it has set a new record for the number of trainees and professional drivers on its training programme.
Six hundred and eighty-two trainees and students from across Germany have begun their training at the family-owned logistics company this year. In total, Dachser is training 1,511 new recruits worldwide. Beyond Germany, the number of new trainees is two hundred and fifty-five, including three from Luxembourg.
Dachser provides training for people interested in the following sectors: freight forwarding and logistics, office management, IT, warehousing, warehouse logistics, and professional driving, as well as business management. In fact, the company is currently training a total of one hundred and fifty professional drivers, including twelve women, with this year being their highest intake to date. Those who complete training programmes at the company often have good employment opportunities.
Marina Szautner, Corporate Director Corporate Human Resources of Daschser, has described logistics as “a modern and complex field, with a strong focus on future markets”, adding that their main aim is to make the profession “more attractive to young people.”
