Luxembourg’s Klima-Agence and the Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) have announced that GO electric day will return to the Coque National Sports and Culture Centre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Sunday 4 October 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00.
According to the organisers, the free event, which is open to everyone, attracted more than 1,200 visitors during its first edition in 2025. This year, it aims to raise public awareness of the different electric and soft mobility solutions and demonstrate the links between mobility, energy and housing.
Through test drives, demonstrations, information and discussions with professionals, visitors will be able to discover the technologies currently available and better understand the options open to them. Activities for children and a catering area will also be available.
Klima-Agence reported that the share of fully electric cars among new registrations in Luxembourg increased from 0.2% in 2015 to 26.9% in 2025, making electric vehicles the second most commonly chosen powertrain, behind non-plug-in hybrids at 29.3%.
This trend has continued in 2026, with fully electric vehicles accounting for more than 30% of new registrations during the first eight months of the year. The range of vehicles has also become more diverse, with models meeting a wide variety of needs and budgets.
GO electric day will allow visitors to discover this diversity through the presentation of more affordable models, vehicle test drives and discussions with professionals from the sector.
The event will also address the links between electric mobility, energy and housing. It will bring together car dealers, charging infrastructure providers, financial service operators and national initiatives promoting soft mobility. Information on the state Klimabonus aid offered by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity will also be available.
