The Luxembourg Center for Architecture’s (LUCA) has announced that the second edition of Journées de l’Architecture Luxembourgeoise (Luxembourg Architecture Days) will take place from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 October 2026.
The 2026 edition of the event is centred on the theme “(Re)imagining Our Everyday Spaces” and the public is invited to enjoy a varied and accessible programme which will explore architecture, urban planning and landscape across Luxembourg.
With 66 activities spread across 25 municipalities and 36 localities, Luxembourg Architecture Days invites visitors to step inside homes, offices and other buildings, explore neighbourhoods and public spaces, discover urban development projects or visit architecture practices. Visits, workshops, exhibitions, talks and discussions will offer opportunities to engage directly with the people who design and shape everyday spaces.
LUCA said: “Architecture is part of our everyday lives, but the processes involved in designing and transforming the places around us often remain largely unseen. Luxembourg Architecture Days offer an opportunity to step inside buildings and architecture practices, explore projects of different scales, and gain a better understanding of the choices that shape the built environment. From repurposed heritage sites to new workplaces, from gardens to neighbourhoods undergoing change, the activities invite participants to look at places differently, question architecture and share experiences. Everyone can create their own itinerary according to their interests, preferences and region.”
(Re)imagining Our Everyday Spaces
LUCA detailed that the theme of this edition invites everyone to take a fresh look at spaces that shape people’s everyday lives. Whether they are places where we live, work, learn or meet, these spaces evolve in response to social, urban and environmental changes.
Luxembourg Architecture Days highlights projects and approaches that explore how these spaces are designed, experienced, transformed and reinterpreted over time. They open up a broader reflection on a question that concerns us all: how can we imagine places, today and tomorrow, that respond to the diversity of our needs and the challenges of our time?
