
LUkraine asbl has announced a series of upcoming events, including a documentary screening and concerts.
In addition to a demonstration planned for Luxembourg City on Saturday 22 February 2025, LUkraine asbl is marking the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine with a screening of Brendan Bellomo and Slava Leontyev's Porcelain War (2024). This Oscar-nominated documentary about resilience, hope and strength has received over 50 awards at international film festivals; this upcoming event marks a unique opportunity to watch it in Luxembourg.
Co-organised by LUkraine asbl and CinEast Festival, with the support of the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, the screening (with English subtitles) is taking place at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Wednesday 26 February 2025 at 19:00. All proceeds will go towards the CinEast4Ukraine 2025 project. Tickets are available here.
LUkraine asbl also noted that the Luxembourg City Film Festival is screening Timestamp, a documentary about the daily lives of teachers and students in Ukraine, at the Cinémathèque (with English subtitles) in Luxembourg-Ville on Saturday 8 March 2025 at 16:00. For tickets, click here.
In addition, Luxembourg City Film Festival has teamed up with the Abbaye de Neumünster (neimënster) for a screening of Charlène Favier's biopic Oxana - about Ukrainian artist and Femen movement co-founder Oxana Chatchko - on Thursday 13 March 2025 at 19:00. Moreover, LUkraine asbl announced two upcoming concerts.
Ukrainian singer-songwriter YAKTAK is set to perform at the Melusina club in Luxembourg-Clausen on Monday 17 March 2025; doors open at 19:00 for an 20:00 start. Part of the proceeds from the concert will go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The concert will also launch a fundraiser for a car for the Special Operations Forces. For tickets, click here.
Ukrainian rapper and singer-songwriter Alyona Alyona, who represented Ukraine at Eurovision last year, will perform at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette on Friday 13 June 2025; doors open at 19:30. The concert is part of LUkraine's Ukrainian culture festival UA Days 2025. Tickets are available here.
