The seventeenth edition of Luxembourg Open Days (Journées Portes Ouvertes), organised by communications agency brain&more, attracted over 23,500 visitors over the weekend.

This year’s edition had 30 participating companies spread over a total of 25 sites. Among the most visited establishments this year were Luxlait in Roost, co-labour in Bertrange, Luxforge in Troisvierges and RAK Porcelain Europe in Bettembourg.

The Open Days are organised annually by the communications agency brain&more and are placed under the patronage of Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy. This event offers a unique opportunity for families to have a look behind the scenes of companies, organisations, workshops, public utility companies, associations and factories, while discovering the different professions. In seventeen years of existence, a total of 339,900 visitors have visited the Open Days to get an idea of the diversity of local businesses.

Luxembourg’s Minister of Economy, Franz Fayot, supported the initiative by visiting the companies Schroeder & Associés and Accumalux in Kockelscheuer. Minister Fayot presented the “master plan” for the development of the future “Health and Lifescience Innovation (HE:AL) Campus” at the House of Biohealth in Esch-sur-Alzette. Luxembourg’s Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Lex Delles, also took the opportunity to have a closer look at Team Schramm in Ellange and Schroeder & Associés in Kockelscheuer.

The Open Days are not only an informative event for visitors, but also a promotion of companies and their employees. The managers and especially their employees can present their products and services to the public. It is also an opportunity to come into contact with potential future employees in a relaxed atmosphere, according to the organisers.

A new edition of the event has already been announced for next autumn: the eighteenth edition of the Open Days will take place on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 September 2024. For more information on how to register, interested companies can already contact the organiser brain&more.
