The regional tourist office of the Centre/West (ORT Guttland) has unveiled its programme for the summer season, with guided tours and other activities being organised in the Guttland region from 18 July to 9 September 2023.
The programme, organised in collaboration with various regional partners, is divided into five different themes and offers 20 different activities for all ages:
1. Explorer Tuesday
Explorer Tuesday promises experiences for the whole family. Adventurers can embark on a journey through time in knightly attire at the Château d'Useldange or let off steam in creative workshops about the nature and culture of the region.
2. Afterwork Wednesday
Afterwork Wednesday is aimed at adults who want to make the most of the end of their working day. The programme includes yoga classes in the Kass-Haff farmhouse, hands-on ceramics workshops and a regional cooking class in Beckerich's former mill, among other activities.
3. Farmers Thursday
Farmers Thursday is particularly aimed at young people. Whether on the farm, during a visit to the bees or the ostrich farm, children will have an opportunity to learn about the lives of different animals through active participation.
4. Friday by night
This Friday evening programme will allow participants to discover Guttland at sunset, or in the dark of night, in the company of an experienced guide.
5. Slow Saturday
Saturdays are more relaxed, offering several activities for all those who wish to take their time at the weekend. Nature enthusiasts can take part in a guided forest bathing tour or actively slow down by taking a meditative hike on the Guttland Trail "Siwe Brécke-Wee".
Many of these summer activities will be held in Luxembourgish, French and/or German, but some are also available in English. These include: "Family, Fun, Bread & Bake" in Useldange on "Explorer Tuesdays" 18 July and 15 August (16:00-18:00); "Yoga & Sound Bath um Kass-Haff" in Rollingen on "Afterwork Wednesdays" 19 July and 16 August (19:00-21:00); "D'Liewen um Kass-Haff" (life at Kass-Haff) in Rollingen on "Farmers Thursdays" 3 and 31 August (14:00-17:00); "Slow Trip duerch dat klengsten Duerf am Land" ("slow trip" through Luxembourg's smallest village) in Rindschleiden on "Slow Saturdays" 29 July and 26 August (10:00-12:00); "Schlammwiss- Op Entdeckungsrees am Naturreservat" (discover the nature reserve) in Übersyren on "Slow Saturdays" 5 August and 2 September (09:00-11:30).
