On Thursday 6 July 2023, the College of Mayors and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg inaugurated the "Theaterplage", an urban beach set up in the heart of the city as part of the summer entertainment programme "Summer an der Stad" (summer in the city).
The Place du Théâtre will look like a sandy beach until 4 September 2023, with a sandbox of 350 m2, deckchairs and parasols in "multiplicity" colours, a petanque court, various plants and colourful decorations with pennants and light garlands.
Entry is free and the "beach" area is open to everyone from Monday to Sunday, from 11:00 to 22:00. Catering is also available.
