
The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has announced the 28th edition of the Summer in the City programme, running from 16 June to 11 September this year.
The Summer in the City 2023 programme includes, among other things, outdoor activities and music, exhibitions, plays, shopping and many other cultural and tourist activities.
Luxembourg City Underground
After the reopening of the Pétrusse Casemates last year, the Bock Casemates are now also open to visitors. The two tourist attractions of the capital invite visitors to dive deep into the city and discover the history of a little-known world.
The Grand Ducal Palace
As in previous years, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office is organising exclusive guided tours of the Grand Ducal Palace during the period from 17 July to 3 September 2023 included. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the history of the Grand Ducal family in the company of a tourist guide approved by the City of Luxembourg. The ticket presale will start at the beginning of July.
Guided tours of the Luxembourg City Tourist Office
The Luxembourg City Tourist Office offers a wide and varied portfolio of guided tours. Examples include the “City Promenade”, the “Top City Views”, the “Wenzel Circuit”, the UNESCO promenade and, especially for families, the “City Safari” and the “City Promenade for Kids”. The Luxembourg City Tourist Office also offers a range of themed guided tours with a personal guide.
Musical offer
In addition to the festivals and concerts organised by the City of Luxembourg, many actors and promoters offer a varied programme of concerts and festivals of all kinds on the territory of the City of Luxembourg.
Cultural offer
The museums of the city of Luxembourg gathered under the banner Museumsmile - 7 museums 1 mile", offer a wide range of exhibitions, plays and activities of all genres and all audiences.
Shopping offer
On the shopping side, the summer sales, the “Sunday shopping” as well as the traditional Braderie are on the agenda.
In cooperation with the City of Luxembourg, Cityshopping and HORESCA (Luxembourg’s hospitality sector’s official representative), 200,000 sugar packets and placemats featuring an extract from the summer programme have been made available free of charge to restaurants, cafés and bars in the City of Luxembourg, the country and the bordering region. In collaboration with Cityshopping, more than 5,000 “Summer in the City” packets have been made available to traders in the City of Luxembourg.
