The Comité pour la défense des droits de l'Homme en Iran, a Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation working to defend human rights in Iran, has announced that it is organising a peaceful demonstration, calling for "Action for Iran", in Place de l'Europe in Luxembourg-Kirchberg on Sunday 14 May 2023 at 14:00.
According to the organisers, this protest aims to "support the Iranian people and political prisoners who are at risk of being executed by the Islamic Republic of Iran", such as Iranian rapper Tomaj Salehi.
Luxembourg's Iranian community will be accompanied, among others, by those coming from Rheinland-Palatinate in Germany to "defend the rights of the Iranian people and show their solidarity with compatriots who have remained in the country and who are fighting for an Iran free from the oppression of the Islamic regime".
Everyone is welcome to participate in this demonstration.
The organisers noted that they have also extended an invitation to politicians in Luxembourg.
