OGAE Luxembourg is organising its annual "Eurovision Preview Night" at Hal Frounert in Bissen, in central Luxembourg, on Friday 21 April 2023 at 19:00.

OGAE Luxembourg has been organising this event since 2005 and also organised a charity "Eurovision Gala Night" up until 2016.

During this year's Eurovision Preview Night, participants will have the opportunity to watch the 37 official video clips of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 entries on a large screen and cast their vote for their top 10 songs.

Speaking to Chronicle.lu ahead of the event, OGAE Luxembourg President Eric Lehmann explained that this is a "chance to join a social get-together of different nations."

He noted that the entry video clips will be shown in alphabetical order, starting with Albania and ending with this year's Eurovision hosts, the United Kingdom. Participants can vote via a special app and the points will be displayed on interactive competition scoreboards.

Live performances by Marion Welter, who represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 1992, Ricardo Vieira and Helga Sunshine are also on the agenda.

Entry is free but LUkraine asbl will be selling Ukrainian food and drinks on-site, with all proceeds going to the non-profit organisation. Eric noted that LUkraine asbl was also the event's selected charity last year, but said it was a particularly "great match" this year since Ukraine were the winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Regarding the choice of venue, he noted that the municipality of Bissen has been "doing so much" to support Ukrainian refugees in Luxembourg and has supported this project in the past.

This year's Eurovision Preview Night will go ahead under the patronage of the Representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg, with Representation Head Anne Calteux set to speak at the event.
