On Saturday 17 December 2022, Vegan Society Luxembourg asbl held its biggest event of the year, its Vegan Christmas Market, at the Tramsschapp cultural centre in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.

Hundreds of people of all ages attended this festive indoor event, now in its seventh year, where about 30 stands showcased a range of vegan and organic products, from food and drinks to beauty products and supplements, pet care products and clothing, and raised awareness about veganism.

Most people showed up around noon, in time for lunch and, later in the afternoon, children were treated to a visit from Santa Claus. Throughout the day, guests could listen to festive music whilst enjoying vegan (and in some cases gluten-free) savoury and sweet food and snacks, and children engaged in arts and crafts activities.

As Vegan Society Luxembourg President Barbara Ujlaki explained to Chronicle.lu, this is the non-profit's largest event of the year, and each year it is getting bigger and bigger. Awareness raising plays a big part in this and other events organised by Vegan Society Luxembourg, as attracting more members means having more power to make a change in society.
