After a relatively quiet period last week, amid the All Saints' Day school holidays, events in Luxembourg are back in full swing.

Here is Chronicle.lu's roundup of some of the main events taking place in the Grand Duchy this week.

Chinalux ESG Event: The China-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (Chinalux) is organising an event dedicated to environmental, social and governance (ESG) and its impact on security risk at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday 8 November 2022 from 18:00 to 21:00. Adrienne Haan performances: Luxembourgish-German cabaret star Adrienne Haan will take the stage at the Escher Theater in Esch-sur-Alzette for her Kurt Weill Soirée on Wednesday 9 November 2022 at 20:00. Accompanied by her Novembergruppe Sextet, she will perform some of the best-known songs by Kurt Weill, a German-born (later) American composer who fled Nazi Germany and whose music was characterised by sharp social satire. On Saturday 12 November 2022, Adrienne Haan will perform her show "Between Fire and Ice" at a cabaret dinner at Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Zonta Club Luxembourg multiculturel. Reservations via email: zclmbureau@gmail.com.

One day later, on Sunday 13 November 2022, she will perform "Till the End of Time" with Benjamin Schaefer at a jazz matinee at Neumünster Abbey in Luxembourg-Grund. Tickets are available at: https://www.neimenster.lu/evenements/adrienne-haan-benjamin-schaefer/.

Run in the Dark: This global fundraising event is returning to Luxembourg City on Wednesday 9 November 2022. More than 800 runners are expected to take part this year, with the mission of raising money to help cure paralysis in our lifetime. Entry costs €27, with this money going to the organiser, the Mark Pollock Trust, and fundraising going to the event's charity partner Collaborative Cures. Register at: https://www.runinthedark.org/luxembourg/.

Blackbird premiere: The premiere of the Théâtre de Centaure's very first English-language production is set for Thursday 10 November 2022 at 18:30. "Blackbird" is based on Scottish playwright David Harrower's 2005 play of the same name about a 20-something-year-old woman (Una) who confronts the middle-aged man (Ray) who sexually abused her fifteen years ago, when she was just twelve years old. Further information and tickets (for the premiere and other dates) are available online at: http://www.theatrecentaure.lu/spectacle/blackbird/.

The event will raise money for a total of 43 humanitarian projects this year. Entry is free for visitors.
