On Thursday 14 July 2022, the College of Mayors and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) inaugurated "Summerstreets", an array of summer decorations that will adorn the streets and squares of the capital as part of the "Summer an der Stad" (summer in the city) entertainment programme.

Various lampshades, flags, pennants, butterfly decorations and foliage have been installed above different streets in order to transform and make them more aesthetically pleasing this summer. The following decorations will remain in place until mid-September 2022:

• Rue Louvigny: giant colourful lampshades
• Rue Philippe II: colourful butterflies
• Rue du Curé: giant colourful lampshades
• Rue de la Boucherie: green leaves
• Place de Paris: a 14-metre-high miniature Eiffel Tower
• Avenue de la Liberté: flags and pennants
