Luxembourg-based non-profit organisation 2030, WHEN i GROW UP has announced that it is organising a summer camp and weekly workshops for children in the coming months.

The 2030, WHEN i GROW UP summer camp will run from 2 to 6 August 2021, everyday from 09:00 to 17:00, in Luxembourg-Merl (exact address to be provided upon registration). Participation is open to children aged four to eleven, who can take part in half-day (three hours) or full-day (8 hours) sessions.

Participants will have the chance to dip into the art of "Cultivating Emotional Balance"; the focus of the workshop will be on the emotion "anger". Lots of fun games are planned throughout the day to ensure that learning content is delivered in a fun and entertaining way.

A typical day could look as follows:

  • workshop in English, from 09:00 to 12:00
  • community lunch, from 12:00 to 14:00
  • workshop in French, from 14:00 to 17:00 

Attendance costs €380 per week for full-day sessions and €250 per week for half-day sessions.

In addition, the non-profit will be running children's workshops every Saturday from 17 July to 17 December 2021. These one-hour sessions, which will also take place in Luxembourg-Merl, will introduce children to emotional awareness and help them calibrate their reactions during emotional episodes as much as possible into balanced, constructive ones. During the first part of the day, the workshops are held in English; during the second part of the day, they are held in French. 

Attendance costs €89 per month for a half-year subscription and €116 per month for a monthly subscription, which can be cancelled at any time.

Before the beginning of both the summer camp and the workshop programme, parents who have enrolled their children in these programmes will be invited to meet the organisers during a private gathering.
