Luxembourg's most international slam competition is returning to Luxembourg this month; the 11th edition of Poetry Slam de Lux will take place at Jardin de Wiltz on Friday 11 June and at Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie on Saturday 12 June 2021.
For this new collaboration with Rotondes, Coopérations Wiltz and Géisskan Kollektiv, the Institut Pierre Werner (IPW) has invited three German-speaking slammers and one French-speaking slammer. Taking the stage will be German slam poet Bas Böttcher, Austrian author and rapper Yasmo (born Yasmin Hafedh), Belgian artist Marc Lazarus and French artist Diariata N'Diaye. Representing Luxembourg this year, Géisskan Kollektiv will send its selection of local slammers to the arena.
To seduce the public, slammers do not resort to any artifice. It is all in the verb and the flow, the flow and the words. Between economy of means and verbal extravagance, it is the slam poet who finds the best balance that will win spectators' favour during Poetry Slam of Lux '11 next week.
Poetry Slam de Lux’ 11 is organised by IPW in collaboration with Rotondes, Prabbeli Wiltz and Géisskan Kollektiv, with the support of the Austrian Embassy, the Cantons de l’Est (France) and the Belgian Embassy in Luxembourg.
