The first edition of the "Geek Foire", organised by the shop Le Réservoir and the Rotondes, will be taking place at Rotondes in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie on 30 May 2021.

The "Geek Foire - Vintage Games and Classic Retro Gaming is a one-day event to see and perhaps even buy toys, video games, figurines and other objects that delighted children of the 1980s and 1990s.

Open since 2006 in the centre of Luxembourg, Le Reservoir participates in fairs and conventions abroad. The shop's owner, Christophe Ayroles, has long had the idea of organising such an event in Luxembourg.

The Geek Foire is unique because it goes beyond one genre. “We often mistakenly think of a geek as someone who only thinks of video games,” explained Christophe Ayroles. "But the essence of a geek is precisely to be interested in everything: video games, board games, films, manga, animated... We do not stop at a passion!"

The Geek Foire focuses on the 1980s and 1990s, with attendees likely to come across references to Dragon Ball, Super Mario, Star Wars, Back to the Future, Risk and Magic, among others. With around 20 stands, the event has enough to bring back a lot of memories (or to allow younger people to make great discoveries).

In addition to (re)discovering these pop culture landmarks, visitors will be able to complete their collection of cards and figurines, find the video and board games they sold in the past and even have their old Game Boy repaired.

Free entry from 10:00 to 18:00 on 30 May 2021 at Rotondes (in accordance with the sanitary measures in force).
