In the context of a sharp upsurge in COVID-19 cases, the City of Luxembourg has announced several cancellations and changes to sports services and institutions in the capital.
The following events have been cancelled:
- The human chain as part of "Orange Week", sheduled for 25 November 2020
- MusiqCITE, scheduled for 11 December 2020
- "Aktioun Bambësch", sheduled for the Christmas holidays
- Mardis littéraires ("literary Tuesdays"), until 15 December 2020 included
Indoor "Sports for all" lessons are cancelled until further notice; outdoor lessons such as jogging and walking can take place as planned.
In addition, the Kockelscheuer ice rink will be closed to the public until further notice (excluding sports training for schools and clubs).
Likewise, cultural centres will be closed from Sunday 1 November 2020 until further notice.
