The 13th annual Discover Luxembourg event will take place on Saturday 12 September.

Discover Luxembourg is an event where teams of 4 people follow (by foot) a course through Luxembourg city and, along the way, participate in challenges at Event Stations, answer observation questions, take selfies at certain landmarks and Discover something new about Luxembourg.

The organisers have received confirmation that the event can take place this year; however, there will be a number of changes as a consequence, both directly and indirectly, of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The event will be respecting the Luxembourg government's guidelines and regulations concerning physical distancing and hygiene. The organisers are also aware that while many people are looking forward to this year's event, there are some who are still concerned about mixing with others in a social environment. As a result, in addition to feedback from last year's event, a number of changes will be in place this year, as follows:

- the event will start and finish on the Glacis car park in Limbertsberg. The route will not take in Luxembourg's city centre;

- the Start Station will be more spread out to ensure physical distancing;

- thanks to Station Sponsors including Vodafone Procurement, St George's Internation School and Home from Home who have confirmed already, with others also in discussion;

- personal hand sanitisers will be provided to all participants;

- while there is no Event Partner this year, no t-shirts will be provided to teams: however, all participating teams this year are encouraged to wear their own (hopefully coordinated) t-shirts - one possibility could be for those who have participated in a previous Discover Luxembourg event to wear the t-shirts from that event;

- the route will be 6.5km long from start to finish and will involve circa 6-8 Event Stations;

- the Prizegiving will take place separate to the event, afterwards and online, to ensure that many people do not congregate together; as a result, teams will be finished earlier and do not have to wait around for all other teams to finish.

The charity supported this year is the Ilula Orphan Program (IOP) in Tanzania.
