Geenzefest, Nuit des Lampions Cancelled amid COVID-19 Crisis

The municipality of Wiltz, the Syndicat d'Initiative Wiltz and COOPERATIONS have announced the cancellation of this year's “Geenzefest” and “Nuit des Lampions”, initially scheduled for 19 September 2020.

The Geenzefest, traditionally organised on Pentecost Monday, had already been postponed due to the coronavirus crisis and should have exceptionally taken place in autumn, together with the Nuit des Lampions. However, the organisers have decided to cancel these two major events in Wiltz in light of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.

The last editions of the Geenzefest and the Nuit des Lampions attracted several thousand spectators. The organisers will use the coming months to continue working on the new concepts for 2021.
