The 679th edition of the traditional Schueberfouer, taking place from 23 August to 11 September 2019, will feature six new attractions.

On Tuesday, the College of Mayor and Aldermen of the Ville de Luxembourg presented the winning poster and the main novelties of the 2019 edition of the Schueberfouer, the capital's traditional fair founded in 1340 by John the Blind.

In March 2017, the Ville de Luxembourg launched a contest for the production of an advertising poster for the Schueberfouer. After the winning posters of Lynn Cosyn (1st prize - 2017) and Carole Stoltz (2nd prize - 2018), a visual by Nadia Recken will be used this year for the promotion of the Schueberfouer. The poster shows all the elements that characterise the fair with its unique blend of tradition, gastronomy and thrilling attractions: carousels, a Ferris wheel, roller coasters, a ghost train, sweets and other culinary specialties.

This year will also see the introduction of six major innovations to the Schueberfouer: Crazy Clown, Techno Power, Transformer, Intoxx, Aeronaut and Alpina Bahn, the world's largest mobile roller coaster. Alongside these new attractions, other novelties in the field of gastronomy and organisation are planned.

In total, some 250 attractions and exhibitors including 80 street vendors, sixteen rides for children, thirteen restaurants and sixteen confectionery stalls will delight both big and small visitors of the Schueberfouer 2019.
