On Saturday 29 June 2019, CAPEL will be organising its biennial multicultural children's parade in Luxembourg City.

This will be the seventh edition of the "Kannerparad", organised every two years by the CAPEL department of the "Service Foyers scolaires" of the Ville de Luxembourg.

This year, after several months of work around the theme "What if...?" ("A wann...?"), twelve groups of children and adolescents from across the country will present their projects to audiences as they walk through the capital. The children and young people involved carried out the projects according to their imagination and their own aspirations, accompanied by the assistance of professionals at various technical and creative workshops.

In total, some 250 children, teenagers and accompanying adults will stroll through the streets of the city to form this colorful and lively parade.

This multicultural event will begin at 15:00 in Place d'Armes, before being split into two separate processions that will leave through the pedestrian zone of the city and which will meet again at their starting point to finish around 16:30 in Avenue de la Porte-Neuve. For interested participants and spectators, there will then be a closing circus show by YoYo NAOTO around 17:00 in the Kinnekswiss (municipal park), where CAPEL will also offer a small snack.

Participating in the parade this year are: SEA Bertrange; Foyer Scolaire rue des Près-Bonnevoie; Foyers Tiramisu; Foyer Scolaire Rollingergrund; Foyer Scolaire rue Adolphe Fischer-Gare; LTMA Lamadeleine; Foyers Barbara; Foyer Scolaire Demy Schlechter-Bonnevoie; Foyer Scolaire Hollerich; ATD Quart Monde; Ecole rue Gellé-Bonnevoie.
