The cultural and family event "Afrikafest Esch" will be returning to southern Luxembourg next month with its ninth edition.

The event, which will take place on Saturday 8 June 2019 at Kulturfabrik, will once again offer a rich and varied programme for all ages.

From 12:00, interested persons can visit a range of information, craft and culinary stands. Confirmed stands include: Coup de Pouce Congo ASBL; Amitié Am Sand-Amizero ASBL; Weltbuttéker EschPharmaciens Sans Frontières; Action Solidarité Tiers Monde; Frères des Hommes; SOS Faim; Union pour l’Encadrement de la Femme Africaine (Régine Tshionza); Association des Congolais (Suzanne Ekea-Kay).

In addition, there will be free workshops running from 15:00 to 18:30, including clay model with Kingsley Ogwara, responsible food consumption by Frères des Hommes and SOS Faim, toy manufacture with recycled material with Mayetela-Mayeth Fylastraf, African braids with Ameganvi Kaka and African jewellery-making with Mohammed Soumah.

Dance, music and instrumental demonstrations will also take place from 15:00 to 18:30.
