The 49th Annual Conference of the European Ramblers' Federation (ERA-EWV-FERP) is taking place in Echternach from 27-30 September 2018.

100 members of the ERA-EWV-FERP association from all over Europe are participating in the conference in Echternach, on the occasion of the federation's third meeting in Luxembourg since its creation in 1969. Indeed, two great European trails pass through Luxembourg: E2 (4,850 km from Inverness (UK) to Nice (France)) and E3
(6,950 km from Santiago (Spain) to Nesebâr (Bulgaria)).

As part of the annual conference, 40 hikers from Belgium, France and Germany made the trek to Echternach, where they were welcomed today by the 100 delegates of the federation, at the crossroads of the two European trails in Hosingen, in Honicht.

The European Ramblers' Federation is the author of  "Leading Quality Trails - Best of Europe". In Luxembourg, three trails have already been awarded this label, namely the Escapardenne Eislek Trail, the Escapardenne Lee Trail and the Mullerthal Trail.

The programme of the 49th Annual Conference includes, in addition to meetings and exhibits, hiking and guided tours in the Mullerthal and Eislek regions.

The Luxembourg Ministry of Economy - Tourism Directorate General is a founding member of the association and the Regional Offices of Tourism of the Guttland, Eislek and Mullerthal regions will be admitted as effective members of the federation this year.
