The Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland has confirmed that the region has plenty to offer during the winter period:
Hiking
On the Mullerthal Trail you can also hike during the cold season. Routes 1, 2 and 3 of 37, 37 and 38 km lead to the natural and cultural highlights of the region. You can purchase a hiking map for €4 in any tourist information or you can order it at the Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. The Mullerthal Trail Pocket Guide is a very useful tool which allows you to easily divide the 3 big Routes in 6 stages. All the local hiking trails, which lead along the impressive rock formations, are also accessible during winter.
Other sports activities and tours
At the Patinoire in Beaufort you may practice ice skating in all weather conditions. The ice rink is open from Tuesday to Friday, from 13:00 until 18:00 and on weekends from 11:00 until 19:00. During the Christmas holidays, it is open every day, from 11:00 to 19:00, except on 25 December. See see www.patinoire-beaufort.lu
