For the first time in Luxembourg, an ice hockey game will take place on Veterans Day Holiday on 11 November 2017 to honour veterans and the longstanding friendship between the US and Luxembourg.
Together with Tornado Luxembourg and the Spangdahlem Ice Hockey Varsity Team, the US Embassy has organised this ice hockey game to pay tribute to veterans as well as celebrate the strong bonds of US-Luxembourg relations.
The Veterans Day Hockey Game will take place at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink on Saturday 11 November 2017 from 19:00 to 22:30. The event will begin with a small opening ceremony honouring those courageous young men and women who followed the “call” and enlisted in military service.
Entry tickets will cost €5 each (to be purchased on site). Children under 12 will go free. All proceeds will be given to charity.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase and free parking will be available at P&R Kockelscheuer.
