Luxembourg tennis player Mandy Minella won her first round match against opponent Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova at the Roland-Garros (French Open) in Paris on Monday.
Thanks to a strong performance against Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Mandy Minella has secured a place in the second round of the French Open. Mandy's WTA ranking of 100 gave her direct entry into the main draw.
Mandy Minella started the match aggressively winning two sets before Anastasia surged ahead 4-2. Nevertheless, the Luxembourger closed out the first set 6-4 and dominated the second set 6-2.
