On Tuesday, Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller lost his first-round match in the 2018 US Open Tennis championship currently being played at Flushing Meadow in New York.
Up against 23 year-old Lorenzo Sonego of Italy, currently ranked #121 and a qualifier for this tournament, the 35 year-old Luxembourger from Esch-sur-Alzette who has dropped way down the ATP rankings to #127 from the top-25, was no match for the young Italian playing in only his 9th match of the year.
Final score 6-7, 7-6, 7-5, 6-7, 2-6.
