The next generation of players prevailed in the top seeded semi-finals battle at the Moselle Open in Metz on Saturday.
Top seed Austrian Dominic Thiem defeated two-time winner and 4th seed Frenchman, Gilles Simon, to have a chance for his 8th ATP tour title. The 23 year-old Dominic Thiem, in his Moselle Open debut, came from behind to beat the two-time tournament winner.
No. 3 seed Frenchman Lucas Pouille defeated Belgian David Goffin. The 22 year-old Lucas took just one hour and 21 minutes to oust the 2014 champion.
The no. 18 ranked Lucas Pouille will be hoping for his first tour title in the final match against no. 10 ranked Dominic Thiem.
