In an exciting Singles Final at the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open tennis tournament 2015, Japan's Misaki Doi overcame the challenge of Germany's Mona Barthel 6-4, 6-7, 6-0 to lift the trophy.
Misaki Doi was pure motion during the match and expressed pure joy in her win. Mona upped her game in the 2nd set and won the tie-break. In the 3rd set it was all Misaki, winning 6-0 to take the trophy. Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, was in attendance and congratulated the two finalists.
In the Women's Doubles final, played before a smaller crowd, 3rd seeds Mona BARTHEL (Germany) and Laura SIEGEMUND (Germany) defeated the top-seeded Spanish pairing of Anabel MEDINA GARRIGUES and Arantxa PARRA SANTONJA 6-2, 7-6.
