BDO in Luxembourg, a leading accounting, audit and consulting firm, and eSST, a Luxembourg-based consulting firm specialising in occupational health and safety, have signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement.

As part of the development of its human resources (HR) advisory offer, BDO signed a strategic partnership agreement with eSST on 27 April 2020. Created in 2016, the mission of eSST is to improve health and safety at work within companies and administrations through consulting, training and an in-house developed integrated management software. The eSST monitoring tool enables the employer to structure, implement and manage his legal obligations in terms of health and safety at work. As market leader in Luxembourg in payroll calculation, BDO completes its range of HR services through this partnership agreement.

Daniel Hilbert, HR Advisory Partner at BDO, commented: “The strategic objective of BDO is to expand our offer in terms of HR services. With our services in payroll calculation, employee benefits and HR advisory, as well as our strategic partnerships, we are today not only the largest provider but also the only company in Luxembourg to offer in-depth expertise in all areas related to human resources. eSST provides a solution to what is a key concern for all companies, namely the health and safety of its employees".

Peter Czibula, Partner of eSST, added: “This strategic partnership with BDO allows us to develop our business further and to also offer to BDO’s customers our innovative eSST monitoring software solution and expertise. Beyond the moral obligation, there are also legal obligations for each employer in terms of health and safety at work. This topic, which is important for any company, has become even more important in the context of the health crisis linked to COVID-19”.

Based on its expertise, eSST has recently developed a specific COVID-19 offer to support its customers during the resumption of their activities. It includes training, professional risk assessments and tailor-made support.

eSST has also published a free handbook, which is intended to be highly practical and is updated in real time. It offers assistance to employers facing increased obligations in the context of the coronavirus crisis. The handbook is available at https://esst.lu/covid-19/vade-mecum-employeurs-covid-19/.
