Smartphone Use is According to Age

Luxembourg's national statistics office, Statec, has published a report / infographic whoch shows that smartphones are used according to the age of their users.

In 2021, 99% of the Luxembourg population aged between 16 and 74 has been connected (to the Internet). 90% use a smartphone to access the Internet, 62% via a laptop, 45% via a tablet, 41% via a desktop PC and 38% from other devices such as a television, a gaming console or a connected watch, for example.

Access to the Internet via PC and tablet increases with age; however, such Internet access via laptop, smartphone and other devices decreases with age. 16-24 year olds surf more often on smartphones (97%) and laptops (63%), while those aged 65 to 74 also connect most often on their smartphone (73%) than by tablet (52%).
