For over 30 years, the Sports Department of the City of Luxembourg has been organising each summer a sports week for young people aged 11 to 17 years old. This initiative is to draw attention to sports activities on offer from the capital, to engage citizens of all ages to recreational sports, contribute to the well-being and health of inhabitants and make the city even more attractive, especially for young people.

The course also allows participants to share experience with people of similar age, make new friends and grow in a friendly atmosphere, with a mutual respect between students and instructors.
This year, the programme consists of 4 "Mini Sport-weeks" for youth aged 11 - 12, plus 15 "Sport-weeks" for youths aged 13 - 17. The duration of these sports week organised with or without accommodation, in Luxembourg and abroad, are each between 4 and 7 days.
