On Friday 20 March 2026, Luxembourg's Ministry of Sport announced that Minister Martine Hansen is strengthening her team.
Martine Hansen, Luxembourg's Minister of Sport since December 2025, has appointed Yves Picard as Government Commissioner for Physical Education and Sport and Carole Winandy as Senior Government Advisor.
Yves Picard, a physical education teacher, will lead the development of a national action plan for physical activity and sport.
Carole Winandy, a lawyer, will advise the minister and government departments on compliance and legal matters.
They join a team that already includes François Knaff, Senior Government Advisor and General Coordinator, and Charles Stelmes, Director of the National Institute of Physical Activity and Sport (INAPS).
Minister Hansen said: "With this strengthening of the ministerial team, I aim to develop the capacities of the Ministry of Sports so that it can fully carry out its mission of national coordination in matters of physical activity and sports and ensure the implementation of our ambitious coalition agreement."
