On Wednesday 25 March 2026, the College of Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg (VdL) inaugurated five new pop-up stores located in the city centre and the Gare district.
Naderi Photography, located at 64 Avenue de la Liberté, is designed as a creative space entirely dedicated to contemporary photography, high-end printing and the transmission of expertise. In addition to the traditional activities of a photo studio, the space will host workshops for beginner and intermediate photographers, covering photographic techniques, portraiture and fashion photography.
Kids'Village, located at 40 Rue Philippe II, is an educational space dedicated to discovery and free play, open to toddlers up to the age of six and their families. Managed by UP_Foundation, this space offers educational workshops every morning for schools and daycare centres in Luxembourg City. In the afternoon, Kids’Village offers a variety of free activities, freely accessible to families, from Monday to Saturday.
Lozamo, located at 14 Grand-Rue, is a concept store dedicated to dogs and cats, offering a selection of accessories, bedding, bowls, toys and grooming products from responsible brands.
Microlux, located at 19-25 Rue des Capucins, is a pop-up shop designed to showcase entrepreneurs supported by Luxembourg-based microfinance institution Microlux. Microlux supports and finances, through microloans, individuals wishing to create or develop their businesses but lacking access to traditional bank loans.
Hymera, located at 22 Rue Louvigny, is a boutique offering a unique sensory experience, where each candle is designed as an invitation to travel. The Origins collection pays homage to Luxembourg, the brand's birthplace, while the Private and Essential collections explore world cultures and the raw beauty of nature, respectively. The candles, crafted from 100% natural wax, are available in several sizes.
By providing short-term rentals of commercial spaces through its pop-up stores project, the City of Luxembourg offers creators, entrepreneurs and startups the opportunity to test their product, service or concept in direct contact with their target audience. The pop-up stores concept thus serves as a springboard for tenants, allowing them to consolidate their professional experience before launching their businesses permanently. According to the VdL, pop-up shops also contribute to creating a rich retail offering and attracting a diverse clientele to the city centre.
Owners of temporarily vacant commercial spaces wishing to join the project can contact the VdL Economic and Commercial Development Unit via tel.: 4796-5000 (Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00) or via email: dec@vdl.lu.
