On Friday 6 March 2026, organic food store NATURATA announced that the first organic tofu produced entirely in Luxembourg is now available exclusively in its stores.

Tofu BIOG is made using soybeans sourced from the organic farm “An Dudel” in Sprinkange and processed by the LuxSoy manufactory in Givenich.

According to NATURATA, in October 2024, Ben Christmann and Eric Herber founded the company LuxSoy. In a small kitchen in Givenich, they produce their tofu from organic soybeans grown by organic farmer Luc Emering on his farm “An Dudel” in Sprinkange. The tofu is delivered in blocks to the BIOG brand’s Cuisine Artisanale in Munsbach. There it is cut, packaged and labelled before being distributed to all NATURATA branches in Luxembourg.

Alexander Worms, CEO of NATURATA, explained: “Thanks to regional cultivation and production, as well as short transport routes, the product remains not only sustainable but also particularly fresh.”

At present, LuxSoy produces only around 25 kg of tofu per day, exclusively for the BIOG brand. NATURATA said this means BIOG tofu “remains a genuine artisanal product”, produced in small quantities, with a great deal of manual work and close attention to detail.

Alexander Worms explained: “We are very pleased with this cooperation with LuxSoy, as the product perfectly complements our organic range and embodies what we stand for: sustainability and – whenever possible – regional sourcing.”
