On Friday 20 February 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of Amandes moulues bio (organic ground almonds) of the Hygiena (HY) brand due to an excessive level of aflatoxin B1 (mycotoxin).
The following products have been recalled: Amandes moulues bio, Hygiena (HY), 250 g and 500 g; best before dates: 13 September 2026, 15 September 2026, 22 September 2026, 18 October 2026 and 7 November 2026; lot numbers: 25021957, 26000081, 25022441 and 25021389.
According to the ALVA, the product may have been distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg.
Consumers who have purchased the affected products are advised not to consume them and to return them to the point of sale.
