On Monday 2 February 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced yet another infant formula recall.
The following product has been recalled due to the possible presence of cereulide, a toxin produced by the bacterium Bacillus cereus: Nestlé NAN Optipro 1 (0-6 months) infant formula, 800 g; use by date: 31 December 2027; lot numbers: 53370346AA and 53380346AA.
According to the ALVA, the product may have been distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg.

The ALVA issued recall warnings concerning two other infant formula products earlier in the day: Aptamil Pronutra 1 and Popote "1er Âge".
