On Monday 12 January 2026, the Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of Daylicious brand mixed mushrooms and white mushrooms due to the possible presence of glass-like and plastic-like foreign bodies.
The following products have been recalled:
⁃ Daylicious Mixed Mushrooms, 250 g; bar code: 4068261077922; use by date: 15/01/2026; period of sale: 09/01/2026 to 10/01/2026
⁃ Daylicious White Mushrooms, 300 g; bar code: 4068261076796; use by date: 15/01/2026; period of sale: 09/01/2026 to 10/01/2026
The products have been on sale in various stores across Luxembourg
There is currently an orange awareness level alert in place (i.e. medium risk/danger).
ALVA warned that consumption of foreign bodies such as plastic pose a risk of suffocation or internal injury.
