On Thursday 20 February 2025, Luxembourg’s Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) announced the recall of different types of cheese from the Jean Perrin brand over the possible presence of Escherichia coli (E. Coli) bacteria (STEC).

The Jean Perrin products affected are:

- Morbier AOP MINI 75 JOURS, barcode: 3324440317755, all use by dates and all lot numbers;

- Plat Raclette au Lait Cru, 360g, barcode: 3324440440361, all use by dates and all lot numbers;

- Plat Raclette Lait Cru Nature, 630g, barcode: 3324440440996, all use by dates and all lot numbers;

-  Raclette au Lait Cru, barcode: 3324440416762, all use by dates and all lot numbers;

-  Raclette Lait Cru, 200g, barcode: 3324440470726, all use by dates and all lot numbers.

People who have consumed a contaminated product and are feeling unwell are advised to seek medical advice and disclose their exposure. Symptoms may vary from person to person and may vary in severity depending on the extent of infection.
