The Luxembourg Veterinary and Food Administration (ALVA) has announced the recall of different types of Morbier cheese from the brand Jean Perrin due to the possible presence of E. coli (STEC).
The following products have been recalled:
- Morbier AOP 360g tranche with barcode: 3324440440026 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 26/03/2025; all lot numbers are affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025;
- Morbier 45 jours with barcode: 3324440317717 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 14/03/2025; all lot numbers affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025;
- Planche Morbier, comte, Edel, 275g, with barcode: 3324440169286 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 25/01/2025; all lot numbers affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025;
- Plateau de fromage à raclette au lait cru, morbier et moutarde, 360g, with barcode: 3324440440316 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 26/03/2025; all lot numbers affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025;
- Plateau de fromage à raclette au lait cru, morbier et poivre, 360g, with barcode: 3324440440323 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 26/03/2025; all lot numbers affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025;
- Plateau de fromage à raclette lait cru morbier AOP et poivre, 630g, with barcode: 3324440440859 and use by dates: 08/01/2025 - 26/03/2025; all lot numbers affected; period of sale: 12/11/2024 - 24/01/2025.
The affected products were possibly distributed at various points of sale in Luxembourg.
There is currently an orange awareness level alert in place (i.e. medium risk/danger).
