POST Luxembourg has announced that it is issuing five new special stamps, as well as a stamp block to mark the centenary of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Hungary, on Tuesday 12 March 2024.

To celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations between Luxembourg and Hungary, POST Philately and the Hungarian post office, Magyar Posta, are issuing a joint souvenir sheet.

The block features two landscape paintings by Hungarian painter Mihály von Munkácsy entitled "Poros út II" (Dusty Road II), originating after
1874, and "Legelésző csorda" (Grazing Cows)
from 1882.

In addition, POST Luxembourg is issuing special stamps to mark the following: 100 years of the Fédération Nationale de la Mutualité Luxembourgeoise (FNML); 75 years of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO); commemoration of Madeleine Frieden-Kinnen, who was the first female government minister in Luxembourg; fifteen years of the local non-profit organisation Design Friends; fifteen years of Fondation EME.

Dedicated exclusively to this new stamp issue, the "PhilatéLux" publication of March 2024 lists the different stamps and provides information on their respective characteristics and designs.

The new special stamps are available from 12 March via the POST Philately online store: www.postphilately.lu, at the philatelic counter in Cloche d'Or (13 Rue Robert Stumper) and in all POST Espaces and post offices.
