ElectriCity Luxembourg today announced it has opened two pop-up stores in the Grand Duchy.

The concept of pop-up retailing, originating in the US, involves the use of a temporary venue as a short-term sales space. For pop-up spaces versatility is therefore key, as they often cater to a variety of businesses or events. In the US and Canada, the idea is commonly used for periodic events, particularly Halloween, when shops typically holding a three month lease open in a temporary location to sell seasonal merchandise. Here in Luxembourg, the concept has been employed by companies such as Nespresso, who have previously opened a pop-up shop in La Belle Étoile.

ElectriCity, a provider of electrically-powered transport and related accessories, have now joined the movement with two new pop-up shops. One will be in Esch-sur-Alzette, in the Belvel Plaza shopping centre at 14, Avenue du Rock 'n' Roll, L-4361. This store will be open Monday-Friday, 10:00-19:00, and Saturday 09:00-19:00.

A second store will be available at Garage Pianoro in Luxembourg City, at 19 Avenue du X Septembre, L-2551. The store will be open Monday-Friday 08:00-12:00 and 13:30-18:30, and will be closed on Saturdays.
