Aztec, Heart of Europe Rugby;

Luxembourg-based fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, is sponsoring the Heart of Europe Rugby Festival which is being held at the Stade Boy Konen in Cessange on Saturday 25 August 2018 from 10:00.
The festival will bring together, for the first time, the annual ‘Kick Cancer into Touch’ charity corporate touch tournament, open to teams from local companies to teams of friends and families, and the International Rugby 10s tournament. The international 10s will see teams travel from all over Europe to compete against each other.
A community event open to the general public, The Heart of Rugby Festival aims to raise much-needed funds for local Luxembourg charity Kick Cancer into Touch, which supports organisations such as Omega Haus, who care for people fighting the disease and the researchers who are exploring new treatments. The charity was initially founded in 2001 as a tribute to former rugby player Tim Shepard and in memory of Dr Jess Lister, who lost their battles with cancer. In the 17 years since it was formed, over €170,000 has been raised.
In addition to the rugby tournament, there will be a range of family-friendly entertainment, such as face-painting and outdoor games, as well as food and drink served throughout the day.
Aztec Group’s support for the Heart of Rugby Festival comes as the business celebrates its tenth anniversary in the Grand Duchy. The Group’s Luxembourg office has experienced significant growth since it opened a decade ago and now employs over 220 people and administers €45 billion in AUA for over 80 clients.
Alan Ross, Head of Luxembourg at the Aztec Group, commented “We are delighted to be part of this amazing event, which brings teams from around Europe together to play rugby 10’s. With the corporate touch competition on the same day and festivities for all the family planned it should make a fantastic day out. Best of all, it is all in aid of Kick Cancer into Touch, a great local charity, which does an amazing job of supporting people affected by cancer in our local community.”
