On Sunday 1 November 2015, the Rocklab will be opening its doors to offer a new artist talk from electronic art-rock legends Battles.

Ian Williams, John Stanier and Dave Konopka will take up the baton from Modeselktor, Giorgio Moroder, Mouse on Mars and Sascha Ring d'Apparat to offer an exclusive artist and tech talk at Rockhalstudio. The three group members will provide an insight into their personal and unconventional approach to songwriting, recording and technology, as well as offer a live preview of the way they work with Ableton, with an interview from documentary 'The Art of Repetition' on their new album 'La Di Da Di'.

The audience present will also get the opportunity to receive essential tips and advice during a Q & A session which will allow participants to learn more about specific points and develop their knowledge of topics discussed during the presentation.

As a non-conformist group, Battles can offer an ideal passage to escape thinking inside the box. Their albums are the result of constant concpetual and musical progress, placing the trio alongside innovative artists on label 'Warp Records'.

New album 'La Di Da Di' was released on 18 September 2015 and represents their most advanced project to date, a new stage in an unplanned trilogy which began as a quartet and mergers conventional instruments and electronic music.

The trio will be performing live following the artist's talk. Tickets to the talk cost €15 at standard rate, €10 on presentation of a concert ticket. The talk will take place from 18:00 to 18:45.
