Allfirm, Immobel and Inowai, the real estate companies promoting the Infinity real estate project in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, has confirmed that Delhaize have signed a contract as supermarket tenant over a 1,150 m2 space when the project opens.

This is the first lease signed between the developer and an occupant on the Infinity Shopping Centre. However, definitive agreements have been signed concerning 85% of the retail space available in this project.

"The name of store occpants will be announced in a few weeks time, when the leases are finalised. What we can say for now is that in parallel to the 1.150m² food surface, shopping facilities will be provided through 23 outlets across the following sectors: health and beauty, restaurants and bars, services, home, recreation, culture and finally fashion and accessories" indicated Olivier Bastin, CEO of IMMOBEL Luxembourg.

The strategic position of INFINITY SHOPPING provide employees and new residents of Kirchberg a set of attractive shops, themed restaurants and cafés, with the ambition to become a new meeting and shopping place in Luxembourg.

"We will develop a Delhaize Proxy store that is quite specific to the urban population with an offer tailored to a clientele of office and residential units in finding practical solutions and inspiration in everyday life. We will focus on proposals for fresh, healthy and easy to prepare ... and a selection of dishes prepared ultra fresh for the impatient. In addition, the shopping experience will play a central role with an innovative and modern approach which will combine pleasure and inspiration from the store entrance until checkout. We invite potential candidates today a passion for food and customer service to contact us," said Tanguy t'Sterstevens, Country Manager of Delhaize Luxembourg.

"INFINITY SHOPPING has aroused considerable interest, with Delhaize.... Distributors have understood the potential of the centre and see it as a place for living, leisure and services. To this is added a high purchasing power of visitors and a location that promises to signs accessibility and high visibility" added Virginia Chambon, Head of Retail Agency at Cushman & Wakefield.

"INFINITY SHOPPING meets a real need for expansion of the commercial offer in Kirchberg. Until now, employees of the district had to go to the city centre or north of the district," added Jean-Marie In, Head of Retail and Industrial Agency at Inowai.

INFINITY presents itself as a "new urban space'. Thanks to the diversity of the project, the site will not stop at the close of business: the concept proposes to strengthen the attractiveness and usability of public spaces by creating the first open public square in Kirchberg where it will be possible to enjoy the entertainment terraces and commercial spaces.

Besides 6,500m² of retail space, 150 apartments and office space of 6,800m² will be spread over the future building project. The start of construction is scheduled in March 2017 for an expected delivery in mid-2019. The commercialisation of INFINITY LIVING, the residential tower, will officially begin on 19 September 2016. The Unicorn and Inowai Residential agencies have begun to fix the first appointments.
